Raleigh police charge men stole 27 Louis Vuitton belts valued at $17,000

 — Two men have been charged with taking 27 Louis Vuitton designer belts valued at $17,000 from the Saks Fifth Avenue store at Triangle Town Commons on Old Wake Forest Road.
Police arrested Fateen Mustafah Fareed, 39, of 6204 N. Hills Drive in Raleigh and Ahmad H. Fareed, 26, for whom the North Hills Drive is listed on an arrest report but who also was listed in an arrest warrant as having a Brooklyn, N.Y., address.
Police charged the men with organized retail theft, felony larceny and possession of stolen property.
Each man was held in lieu of $50,000 bail for court appearances Wednesday.
I don't usually stick up for the criminal but in this case I have to. Saks was selling the belts at $630 each. Do the math, that's what I came up with.
Saks was trying to rip off their customers.  Who ever heard of $630 per belt? Did the belts have I-phones built into the buckles?
